“Dreamville”

It is a townscape painting of the village where I grew up. Every morning after work, I would always see the sunset, and this always gave me the feeling of calmness and motivation to start my day with positiveness. What I loved the most about this scenery is, the fiery reds and oranges color of the sunrise and the formation of the clouds. Also, the silhouette color of the trees highlighted the beauty of the concrete and the surroundings of it. While I was doing this painting, I made it lively using bright colors. In reality, the river was already polluted, the concrete way has trash on the side, and has animal waste. I wanted to bring it back to the old beauty of it, because it plays a huge part in nature's majesty, also I wanted other people feel the positive vibes that this can bring. The factory on the right side, I made it orange yellow instead of using the actual color of it to highlight its existence. I think what we’ve seen in our surroundings, can sometimes give us the negative feelings and affects our point of view. In painting, you have a capability to change it.
