Purple Leucophyllum

This painting is a landscape of a common plant that you can see everywhere in Arizona. The first time I came here, my perspective is, everywhere I look, is dry, boring and has the same view. I tried to find good things, and I came across of this plant. Immediately, it gave me an idea what to paint and show it to other people that “Desert” place isn’t always a boring and dry place only. I do not have idea about this plant, but I’d learned that it blooms in summer to fall. This was originally a photo that I took and turn it into a beautiful plant.
